Their voices need to be heard. This history of discrimination is one of the primary reasons why we absolutely refuse to give up sovereignty and become a minority again in Israel. We simply can’t entrust our safety in the hands of others. No one cares until it’s too late.

This is a report from *13 years ago* of the same type of discrimination occurring. Here they had been served with eviction papers under the threat of death. At the time they numbered a few hundred, today approximate numbers claim 100 though it’s likely far less.

The most difficult aspect is that any connection to the State of Israel immediately puts their lives at risk, yet even without that they still get treated this way. This is why in 2016 a secret operation flew out a group of them who wanted to leave.

This is the #JewishPrivilege the small group of Yemeni Jews who chose to stay behind face. While privileged antizionists get to write op-eds on whether or not Israel should exist, they can only submit hopes and prayers (if that) while real people’s lives are at stake.
