Dealing with the pressure of online business

I& #39;ve come to realize a huge key to success in online business is being able to manage stress.

Because you& #39;re constantly under pressure.

There& #39;s always new issues.

Shit is constantly hitting the fan.
Always a fire to put out somewhere in your business.

And it& #39;s easy to get caught up running from one fire to the next in one giant, stressful circle.

But that& #39;s no fun.

Also not good for the growth of your business.

So, how should you deal with stress?
There are a few good habits you can incorporate into your life to deal with the stress of running your own e-commerce business:

1. Only work on key, revenue driving activity for the first hour of your workday

Work on super high-ROI activities that drive your business forward
Putting out fires can wait until you& #39;ve done your key task for the day
2. Don& #39;t scale your business to a level you can barely sustain

Meaning, if you order inventory in bulk, order enough to last you 2-3 months. Don& #39;t order inventory amounts that will only last you 3 weeks or else you& #39;ll constantly be stressing about inventory levels, re-stocking
Also, you need enough cash to run your business. Trying to manage cashflow down to the dollar is super stressful. Need a solid cushion of cash in the bank to fund ad costs without stressing about whether the weekend& #39;s Stripe deposit hits in time or not
3. Take time off

If you& #39;re working a job, it& #39;s fine to work on your business every day including weekends. If all you do is run your business, you& #39;ll need some off days where you don& #39;t work much or at all
Working 7 days a week in a high stress job (like running your own business) isn& #39;t sustainable long-term. Your productivity will suffer after a while
4. Exercise

Gotta hit the gym or play some sort of a sport a few times a week. Maybe I& #39;m biased here because I love training, but personally think exercise is pretty much non-negotiable just for the stress-relief benefits
5. Know your goals and set up your business accordingly

This last one is a little vague so let me explain...

Some guys just want to make $3k a month, move somewhere and live happily ever after
That& #39;s very achievable with online business. It will be quite a bit of work to set up and learn the skills needed, but you can easily maintain a business like this with just 1-3 hours of work a day
If, on the other hand, you& #39;re trying to make a shit ton of money and keep pushing for higher and higher goals, you& #39;re going to be working a lot. Getting wealthy is a fun challenge to me...but it& #39;s a lot of work and stressful at times
People get all messed up in the head because they really just want to make a little extra money online...but they& #39;re taking advice from people who are trying to get rich

Two different goals
One isn& #39;t better than the other...but you have to know what you& #39;re trying to achieve and then structure your business (and your day) in a way that is conducive to what you& #39;re trying to achieve
