I am convinced that BJP is the ONLY PARTY that knows who their voters are and what they want to hear from them. They have turned the party into a successful election machine. Positioning is key in creating a successful product in the market.

Who are the voters of @INCIndia ? If you tell me BJP haters are INC voters, to me it is simply bad positioning. Every party’s positioning must reflect what it stands for, who their voters are and what they are waiting to hear from their favorite party.

Some think that the ideology and distinct identity of political parties are dead and everybody is in politics for power and money. This is GROSSLY WRONG! Let me tell why in my next tweet.

Parties such as CPI,CPM,VCK, PMK and many others know that they can never become the ruling party. Yet their cadres work relentlessly for them because they firmly believe in their positioning and consider that most important for their life. It is not always power and money!

Time for DMK to reconnect with their core voters. Know who their voters are. Say what they want to hear from them. Ring fence their voter base. DMK to me represents - social justice, infrastructure, growth and jobs. A thinking and empowered voter won’t dispute these facts

I hope DMK can move away from IPAC or ask them to shut up! Sorry to use this language. But, I am convinced that IPAC doesn’t know jackshit of what DMK truly represents. DMK doesn’t need any external agency to tell what must be done. Its access to internal resources are enormous.

There is no narrative on the ground against the ruling establishment. Waiting for automatic events to shape history doesn’t need an expert or an agent working for it. FCUK IPAC and turn to cadres. For IPAC DMK is one more client. For cadres it is their life.

DMK lost the 2016, a winning election because of avoidable mistakes. In 2021 there is no way that DMK can lose, except “mass suicide.” Handing over the keys to IPAC is like dancing on the edge of the cliff.

2011 DMK had all the wherewithal and powers both here and at the Centre. Despite a grand alliance it was reduced to 23 seats. If ADMK gets over 23 seats in 2021, to me it will be a shame. It is entirely possible for DMK to SWEEP, if it does all the right things from here.

DMK hasn’t been in power for nearly a decade now. It could have easily built a powerful base and following in the western dists. I am afraid no individual or 2/3 persons can win an election for DMK. DMK can win only as an organisation. This fundamental realisation is a must!!

In terms of organisation strength, DMK is the only party whose roots are intact. The organisation structure is something that many political parties across the country have emulated. BJP, DMK and CPM have solid organisation structure. Unfortunately, DMK is not capitalising this.

The reason why I started with BJP comparison is because they know their voters & say what their voters want to hear. Regardless of right/wrong, elections are about winning and BJP has become that winning election machine. DMK has that capacity here that it is not leveraging! END!
