I'm gonna give this a shot:
MOOGS REPLAYS GOLDEN SUN, A (attempted) THREAD ☀️⚔️🌙
Hopefully, I can convey my thoughts thoroughly as I go along and I don't end up dropping this like most things I do. I'll be taking screenshots on my phone (I got that PAID myboy!)

First things first, I am going to rename some of my characters. I've never done this before but because I'm tweeting it, I figure I'll do some shoutouts. Jango is private, but he changed his Avi to Issac when I changed to Felix, so here we are.
Reese didn't change his pfp or anything, but I know my man likes Golden Sun, and I felt that Garet deserved a nickname and that this was somehow appropriate.
Ivan and Mia have been left as is, because I like Mia how she is and I don't really give a fuck about Ivan. This was the natural progression of the "real names" because I'm gonna be a Felix simp now.
And of course, for my other fellow Golden Sun avi, I had to bestow this name to Jenna. Sorry that Golden Sun thinks that your name doesn't deserve an H but that's beyond my power.
I also changed Shebas name for no particular reason.
I've finished playing through the prologue. It's far from the first time I've played it, but it's honestly quite good. It doesn't take too long either.
I especially like the scene of the boulder falling, and the characters sitting and shaking has genuine emotional weight to it.
I've been pretty dead today, but I did find the time to get through Sol Sanctum. For a first dungeon, it's pretty good. An intro to the common jumping puzzles, move synergy and using key items to progress. Kraden's commentary on the puzzles and on alchemy is pretty enjoyable too.
Another thing I want to say is that Vale feels very homey, the characters feel like they have emotional investment, even Garets family is fleshed out to an extent that isn't really necessary but makes the heroes departure feel heavy. Couple this with a great OST and...
...Youve got one of the most memorable and lively JRPG towns/hometowns I can think of.
Back on the subject of Sol Sanctum though, I was pretty impressed with the aesthetics and feel of the Elemental Stars scene. It's really beautiful, once again aided by a fantastic soundtrack.
Plus, this is where we first meet Felix, for real. I'm not really sure why they set him up as this masked mystery man though, he literally had one line of dialogue in the mask before they ask him to take it off.
In general, this scene sets up the villains REALLY well imo.
All In all, the Vale and Sol Sanctum intro is very well done. The characters are set up well, given time to talk and show who they are, and the call to adventure is strong. The gameplay mechanics have been demonstrated well so far. I have a lot more I want to say but no roooom
There's probably a way better way to do this type of content other than through Twitter, but I'm going to try and keep giving my opinions and thoughts in this thread as I continue with the game. Hopefully, someone is enjoying my diatribe.
