I was motivated to write this post when I saw the Richard Florida piece because I’d knew enough from university studies to know he wasn’t accurately representing the research. But more so because I was just so tired of this murdered woman being used by men for their careers.

No concern for who she actually was - in fact some actively worked to erase aspects of her identity to make her their more idealized victim. No concern for truth. Just using people like props in their TedTalk. These are people who presume to deal us how to build liveable cities

Truth matters and so does respect for human life. Our cities are built on a foundation of falsehoods, injustice, inequality, exclusion and a disregard for core parts of our individual and shared humanity. We are flattened to consumers and are consumed by capitalism.
