LOONA as musical instruments: a thread

heejin - cello
heejin having a very deep voice, i only felt it was appropriate to put her as a cello. while her voice is deep, she also has a great range. produces a soothing sound

hyunjin - saxophone
hyunjin at times tends to have an eccentric personality and i just feel like she would be the type to do crazy giant steps-espque solos, shifting between different keys, confusing everyone, and just generally having a great time

hasuel - grand piano
haseul (along with a few other members) plays the piano so i didn't want to put it at first since it would be kinda obvious,a but i feel like this instrument was made for her. elegant and gorgeous, leaving those watching in awe

alternatively: haseul - conductor
not an instrument ik, but i had this in mind bc haseul, being the leader, takes charge of guiding the other members

yeojin - snare drum
small in size, loud in volume. don't underestimate her appearance, she can produce a loud, striking, impactful sound

vivi - clarinet
i don't honestly don't really have a reason for this, i just feel it in my bones. i just feel vivi as a clarinet could be the greatest thing ever

kim lip - trumpet
was originally going to put a french horn, but trumpet have a higher range/timbre. can be pretty loud, but she sings with pride and fluidity

jinsoul - harmonica
don't tell me you can't imagine jinsoul improvising a blues piece on the harmonica while her arched eyebrows dramatically move on every downbeat. she's a harmonica period

choerry - double tenor steel pans
very sweet, round, whimsical in sound. produces soft notes that echo, yet are very clear and opaque

yves - harp
tallest instrument in this group, very elegant and grounded. people are comfortable around her bc of her gentleness with others

chuu - soprano flute
chuu is a soprano, i needed an instrument, chuu is a soprano flute. i chose the plastic ones bc one surface level, they have seem simple, but are capable of producing wonderful high notes

gowon - congo drums
i cannot explain why this is so cute to me. she creates groovy jams and is full of rhythm and charisma

hyejoo - triangle
you know why

hyejoo - electric violin
the most goth instrument i could think of. expected to be soft and elegant, and while she most definitely can be, she can more compared to loud screeches(?) rather than pizzicato
