[a thread] Saw this comment on Min. Chan Chun Sing& #39;s post just now and I was irritated (?) to say the least. The GDP contraction is to be expected, with the Circuit Breaker having taken up most of Q2.
Yet, this comment that was posted, with the kicker right at the end of it.

The general elections are over and people are still picking sides. The worshipping of certain politicians has got to stop. Right now we should all be 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙚.
I liked Dr Jamus Lim& #39;s campaign and I thought he was personable. But he has not proven himself yet, and he is certainly NOT more qualified to run MTI, having had zero experience.
Let& #39;s give Dr Jamus Lim time to grow into his role as MP, let& #39;s give the newly elected individuals time to figure out their place in parliament and how they will contribute to it, let& #39;s stop putting any of the MPs on pedestals, and let& #39;s not insult the people running the country.
This is not the first time I& #39;ve seen FB comments in the last couple of days telling our ministers to hand their jobs to opposition MP elects, and I really don& #39;t get it. Do you think your favourite MP elect thinks they know better than the current ministers or leaders?
If they do have this kind of mindset, what makes them better than the people you call elitist, proud, and lacking in so many ways?
Even after being a political pundit for all of the last 14 days, trust me, most of you really still don& #39;t know how to run a country.
