All these kids out here complaining about viewership and still using SupportSmallStreamers hashtags.

And they wonder why they aren't growing.

One more time for the kids who showed up to class late:
- follow4follow doesn't work
- supportsmallstreamers only makes you look small
- grow on multiple platforms

Instead of looking for pity from fellow content creators go out there and make actual content. Don't know how? Watch tutorials on youtube.

Peoples time is valuable (even in a global pandemic) so give a damn about the people who are watching you. Stop acting entitled.

The biggest piece of advice I can give is 'don't give up'. As a trans streamer on Twitch I busted my ass for 2 years to get partnered where some of my cis friends were partnered within a year. I'm not the best streamer, but I worked and worked and now I'm... semi competent.

The truth is; it's harder to grow as a woman on Twitch, harder to grow as a PoC on Twitch, it's harder to grow being LGBTQIA+ on Twitch. But it's not impossible.

Just don't walk in day 1 and expect to be handed the platform. You're setting yourself up for disappointment.

This is the greatest job I've ever had but it's hard work and has caused me some incredibly bad days.

Even I get frustrated. I'm not the kind of person who steps on others for my own personal gain. And that's bit me in the ass a lot. If I was a shittier person who knows...

Most of all I pray to god that this thread hasn't put any of you off streaming. It should be fun, if you're passionate about it, it will be. But you gotta work hard or it won't work.

It's also a business, and you should treat it like a business. Even I forget that sometimes.
