Here& #39;s a thread of all of the fucked up things I& #39;ve learned in my seven years at my job because I& #39;m just so ready to leave:
I& #39;ve been conditioned into thinking putting a two week notice in is "rude" and that putting in a two week notice "screws people over". I& #39;ve watched my manager over and over beg each employee to "stay just a little longer" so that HER PERSONAL LIFE is not impacted.
I have been offered my own store in another town on more than one occasion, and when I asked why the company would want to take me out of our store and potentially hurt our store, I was told that I was replaceable but that it makes her look good if I turn it down to stay.
I have worked in a juniors clothing store for so long that I convinced myself I am overweight because I have to wear the largest sizes.
I have heard customers called names behind their backs for refusing to sign up for a fucking rewards program... just today, actually.
I guess this thread is moreso fucked up things I& #39;ve seen and experienced vs actually learned.
A few years ago I thought it would be a good idea to create a group chat so that our employees could easily trade shifts without needing to figure out everyone& #39;s numbers. It quickly became the place that our SM berated and belittled us for minor things, like forgetting to sweep.
