While @BoeingDefense has decided to offer F15 in the IAF's MRFA contest, a Naval version is offered for the IN simultaneously. The 57 jets will equip INS Vikrant & the proposed 65000ton IAC2.0 aka INS Viraat.

The F15NEXt #SeaEagle is a fusion of the old F15N that

McDonell Douglas has proposed for the USN in '70s in competition to the F14 Tomcat and the latest F15EX, which will infuse cutting edge technology in F15N.

What more, F15NEXt will be the first Naval Fighter to have both STOBAR and CATOBAR configurations so it can serve on

both IAC1.0 and IAC2.0.

Just recently, USAF awarded a contract of 1.2B for the first lot of 8 F15EX to Boeing. Based on this and making some concessions for RnD cost in the first lot, we can roughly estimate the price of each F15NEXt at around $89.7653M for bare jets.

With a potential order of 114 + 57, Boeing is in a position to give a very tough competition to Rafale, with a lucrative Make-In-India offer.

Another advantage with F15NEXt is, Given F15EX is going to be capable of carrying a 7300lbs Hypersonic missile, it should be able to

carry the BrahMos which is integrated with Su30MKI.

Exciting times ahead.
