They think “burn it all down” is some newfound discovery. It was the mantra of the Tea Party and preceded Trump — supporters of whom said it was necessary to “burn it all down” and elect him. Worked wonders.

And I say this as someone who didn’t vote for Trump, won’t ever vote for him and warned of the damage he’d do to the party. If Gardner and Collins lose, so be it. Damage done. But I’m not going to pretend that it will work out favorably down the road.

And if you pay attention, you’ll see the Trumpists want these senators to lose as well since they don’t “fight.” Both sides want to take everyone off a cliff. Happy flying. I’m not holding your hands on the way down.
