Hand check plus foul plus triple team and still draws the hockey assist
Kobe draws the defense off ball, leaving Artest open. Then grabs the offensive board and gets doubled
Draws the double and creates an open Gasol midrange
Leadership. Kobe wanted to dominate the boards and 50/50 balls. Leads by example. Gets fouled no call. But gets up and doesn’t complain.
Offense board. Snags it. Secures it. Draws the foul.
Ray’s been playing tight in ball denial and Kobe take’s advantage of the miscue
Great footwork and aggression to get to the line. His imprint is all over this game so far.
Creates a shot for fisher. Incredible close out by rondo, but then Kobe sets a perfect screen
Lakers need to start the 2nd quarter strong down 9. Kobe gets a steal and bucket. Big play.
Just look at the attention he draws. Creates this dime from the post
Lakers start the quarter on a 9-0. Lead by example and good things happen. Good team defense. Lakers playing as a unit.
LOOK AT KOBE MAN. Look at this defense. He’s got the arena shaking. He’s got his team locked in. He forces the turnover while the Lakers are on a 9-0 run. No credit for the steal. No box score or stat credits Kobe for this defense
He’s an assassin. Pounds the floor. High IQ. Delivers a strike to Gasol when spins into the double. Ball moves faster than the defense. Creates open artest 3
Watching Kobe play by play is always amazing. Cuts off the driving lane forcing an awkward pickup and shot ray, snags the board and attacks with no conscience. The aggressiveness and physicality. And toughness. Few players had the leadership and skills to go with it.He was all it
The physicality and hustle. You don’t see it like this anymore plain and simple
It’s nonstop. He just doesn’t quit
Half court defense is crazy great on both sides so Kobe pushes the ball down the court trying to make a play and draws a foul
And then on the other end. Hustle on the boards and back on defense. Helps stop the transition attack by getting onto rondo’s hip/periphal. Little things that affect play don’t show as a stat
Down 13 he attacks and gets to the line. Thing about Kobe is that he’s gonna give everything he has to this game. There was nobody who wanted to win more than he did.
And again disruptive on defense, help forcing the turnover. He’s not letting the defense get what they want. Make them a bit uncomfortable. That’s how you force turnovers. Does it show as a stat? No.
Clutch stats that don’t show up. This is the second time he’s come up BIG on both ends to stop a run. This is critical for game control. Does it show up in the box score? No.
Now my dude is LOCKING DOWN RAY ALLEN OFF BALL forcing a rondo brick. He’s played almost every minute.

we ain’t even to the fun part where the Lakers are winning.
Again shuts off Ray Allen
10 boards already
He always comes up big
Mr 4th quarter comes in to bring it home
Remember what Kobe said on winning the rebound battle?

Tie game in a game 7 Kobe goes up strong for the board and gets fouled and falls hard to the floor. Team in the bonus. Big, big rebound
Another board and then a huge shot. 4-0 run by Kobe
Kobe’s been so sharp on his boxouts and on the boards. He’s dominating.
Fearless. Earning his trips to the line. When you go strong and aggressive like he’s done, you’re going to draw fouls, put up points, and win games.

It’s gonna cost your body, but that’s the sacrifice winning takes
Behind the back into a spin, draws the double and gets the euro assist to pau... doesn’t show up in the stats. Another big clutch play
Chills. Relentless. Nothing but net on both free throws
