Ok, I've thought about this a bit and _IF_ the @Chiefs change their name, I think they should become the Kings... https://twitter.com/theredkingdomkc/status/1282763122395291655
1. It keeps the rulers theme of KC teams.
2. The name Kings has historical significance to Kansas City.
3. It has the same number of syllables as Chiefs so it would be easily yelled at the end of the national anthem (which would be hilariously ironic and would annoy other fanbases).
4. The color scheme could be similar since red is often associated with royalty.
5. #ChiefsKingdom easily becomes #TheKingdom.
6. Instead of the chop, the players could be ”knighted” by fans after great plays, touchdowns, and wins.
7. Mitch’s ”Touchdown, Kaanssaaass City” doesn't change.
8. Lastly, and most importantly, Patrick Mahomes is the king of the NFL, so it's only right that the team be named after him. 
Side note, I love the name Monarchs too but I think it is too important to the tremendous legacy of the Negro Leagues to be used for any other team (especially another team in KC).
