There are some conservatives who argue we should re-open the pre-COVID economy even if 200,000 Americans die. They don’t deny the deaths will happen. They say the deaths are worth it.

This is the kind of honesty I want from the GOP on climate.
Are you a politician who wants to keep burning fossil fuels until 2100? That’s fine, but you better be willing look your constinuents in the face and admit that means locking in 3 to 4 degrees Celsius of warming. Stop withholding the facts. Let them make an informed decision.
And if you aren’t scared shitless of a world warmed by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius, well, I envy you. But that’s not my value judgment to make.
