Naming my plants today. A thread.
Widget and Fidget. Left out in a free-to-good-home pile by my neighbors who also leave out grapefruit from their trees. I also took five grapefruits that became greyhounds.
Priscilla, a gift from my old roommates. I want a Plam Spings inspired dinning nook, and Priscilla keeps me inspired.
Sideshow Mel. He used to have two brothers, but they did not survive being left in the office when we went to safer at home.
Douglas Shrub, named by @robotmatt. I don’t know what this guy’s deal is but sometimes whole ass branches just fall off.
Gimli, who also started life as an outdoor potted plant. His little red leaves have shriveled up, but all those green fronds are new.
I think he was scorched at the old place but starved for light here. We’ll see what the future holds for Gimli...

Spectre, who has been thriving since moving home from the office and may have to be repotted soon.
Homegirl has saved me from some nasty sunburn.

Sonny, who was the first plant I liberated from the side yard of my old place.
I also took a half dozen geranium cuttings, but none of them took root.

Blaze and Acid Queen, who, having been emboldened by Sonny’s rescue, I also adopted from the old side yard.
Plantey. Being my oldest living house plant, this plant must bear the title of the original Plantey, who was an African Violet from Trader Joe’s.

Pantalone and his Three Squires. Pantalone and his Three Squires live in the garage until I repot them. It’s been three weeks since Pantalone and his Three Squires moved out there.
