Hi everyone! Just creating a little thread about something really important and would really appreciate you taking the time to read and share...
A little while ago, I came across a truly amazing lady named Maureen. Maureen sadly lost her son a few years ago, and is a full time carer to her husband who has dementia.
Maureen is a truly remarkable lady, who despite the profound grief of losing her son, has also taken on being a full time carer. Due to not being able to work, like many others in the country, Maureen’s finances have been massively impacted.
Maureen has had to use a foodbank and the luxuries that many of us take for granted are not an option.
A tree, in memory of her son Joe who passed away, was planted at Center Parcs. More than anything, Maureen would love to take her husband to visit it.
Maureen is a truly amazing lady who has been through so much and continues to, and yet doesn’t want to ask for any help and is so kind despite what life has thrown at her.
I have asked Maureen to create a JustGiving page so that I can get her and her husband to Center Parcs to visit Joe’s tree. I’d like to raise as much as possible, to hopefully not only fund this trip but take some of the financial pressure off of them.

I know there are so many brilliant causes to donate your hard earned money to, but if you even have a few pounds to spare I’d be thrilled if you could consider donating. @CenterParcsUK - perhaps you could give this amazing lady who planted the tree with you a free stay or even discounted stay and then she could use the money for something else?
Totally understand if not as I know COVID would have affected you but if you do have the means to do so, you’d be doing an amazing thing
