I didn’t take a photo of my ballot, but it looked very similar to Oliver’s (except I didn’t give Eamon a second preference), and here’s why: https://twitter.com/oliver_moran/status/1281520715011887106
I, publicly, campaigned against the programme for government. And after just about a fortnight in government, the following has happened:
• no effort has been made by Eamon to unite the party.
• FF/FG directed OPW to return traffic to Phoenix Park.

• Shannon LNG still looks like it will go ahead, as was warned, even with a removal from PCI list.
• Minister who overbreeds greyhounds is in charge of greyhound racing
• Social housing is being put in the hands of private developers, for profit.

• Green TDs vote against Minister answering questions on his drink driving while on a provisional license, despite supporting the Clancy amendment etc.

It’s been two weeks. This government – the FF/FG part anyway – is operating under the old football adage of “there’s no yellow cards in the first five minutes” so they’re trying to take us out at the knees early.
At some point we’ll have to walk from this govt. Eamon won’t walk

He’s said we can’t leave for four years. If our “government colleagues” will do this in just the first two weeks, what will they try in 208?
Should Eamons leadership continue, I believe, it will be disasterous for the Party and the Country.

I nominated Catherine. And I’m not going to tell people she’s an amazing, leftist hero who’ll roll out the guillotine, but she has committed to walking.
Anything “good” in that PfG is there because of her, as well as people like Neasa and Joe. I have faith in her, that she will walk if it’s the right thing for us (the people & the party), and work hard to do the right thing while we’re in there.
I hate to make this all about the PfG, but I think it’s representative of approaches. Eamon’s approach didn’t work for us in 2007, it didn’t work for Labour in 2011. Nor did it work for any minority party except the PDs, who were soulless monsters.
Why are we doing it *again*?

Catherine was instrumental in rebuilding the party, helping to grow the grassroots organisation, and helping to encourage women & queer people to get involved in the party.
I would encourage every Greens member who has yet to vote to give @cathmartingreen your number 1

Side note: lol, some shirt QT’d this to give out about having a preferential vote in a two-candidate election. As if it would be a surprise
