Yesterday I spoke with the Family/ Attorney of Charles Roundtree and I am HONORED to continue to fight for the Re-Opening of the Cases of Black Folk murdered by SAPD in this city.

On October 17th bullets shot by SAPD Officer Steve Cassinova, went through Devonte Snowden.

As seen on the Body Can Footage, The officer got a call at 1:00 am about a “Black Male” who allegedly assaulted a couple.
The officer and his squad then approached 217 Robert Street, that they profiled as a “dope house”

Steve Casanova approached the pitch black porch, and knocked on the door.
WITHOUT a warrant.
And stated “Wassup Man?” , before firing a round of shots into the home of 217 Robert Street.
The bullet went straight through Devontae Snowden and left Charles Bleeding out.

The officer then stated that he saw Devontae reaching for a gun.
Devontae was later aquitted because a gun found on the premises (evidence) had NO fingerprints of Devontaes on it.
So why did the officer shoot ? If Devontae had no gun ?

Legal Experts state that the officer was applying self defense, but how?
When officer protocol is to ANNOUNCE who’s knocking?
The officer instead of stating: “SAPD OPEN UP!!” , said “Wassup Man?”

Considering “Stand Your Ground Laws in Texas”, wouldn’t Devontae Snowden have had a RIGHT to defend his home and property if a hand gun was present ?

The officer was never indicted before the grand jury. They found him not guilty. He is still employed as Charles’ Body lies cold.
On the Police Report:
Roundtree is listed as the “Suspect/3rd Party”
Casanova is the “Victim”
