Remember when you’re interviewing with a company/organization that you are interviewing them, as much as they are interviewing you. 5 question that can help you understand work culture + how invested they are in their employees (thread):
1. What do employees do for lunch? This will let you know whether folks normally hold time to connect w/others, do they work “at their desk” (bc of covid - do they have “working lunches”)
2. What does their annual review and/or what are the areas in which employees are assessed and/or evaluated on performance?
3. How long was the person (who held the position before) in their role? This will raise a red flag if they were only in the position for a short time
4. What types of professional development do they provide employees? What does growth look like here?
5. (Ask the interviewer) What’s your favorite thing about working here? What’s something you think could improve here?
