Everyone wanted to support Black businesses until they realized that the production levels are no where near Amazon’s.
Capitalism reinforces the idea of instant gratification. And a lot of y’all expect Black businesses, without the same capital or available labor, to get your things out to you in a matter of days. Most of us are working on 6-8 week timelines because of lack of accessibility.
I’ve seen so many people complain about “where’s my package” only to not realize that the Black businesses they want to support need more time to create, process and ship items.
Also, what happened to being anti-capitalist? Or did you not realize that being anti capitalist means morphing your expectations when it comes to labor? If you’re not going to embody the ideology, stop promoting it.
I just want people to stop emailing me about thier packages that they only got some weeks ago. I’m one person with a few helping hands and I’ve had thousands of orders to process and ship. It all takes time. 😫
