Morning folks! Grab a coffee and take a seat. It's time for a new book thread! This time, my books to be read instead of defaulting to David Walliams list is aimed at younger readers, who are starting to enjoy chapter books. In fact, anyone who enjoys books! #choosebookshops
I recommended @H_Muncaster in my previous thread, but Isadora Moon and Mirabelle are perfect for young ones loving to chapter books from picture books!

@chrisriddell The Ottoline books are great for newly confident young readers and I love the illustrations.
@SwapnaHaddow The Dave series about Dave the pigeon and his friend Slipper is great! Not ducktales, but pigeon tales! (And pigeon tales are better anyway)

@PugandLadyM I'm on a bird theme here with Fabio the Flamingo Detective.
Astrid Lindgren - I have so much love for Pippi Longstocking, the strongest girl in the world 💪 @OUPChildrens have also published early reader versions

@elainewickson - We have some of the Stan books in and they are great for Wimpy Kid fans too! Middle Graders may also enjoy.
@Alex_T_Smith The Claude series about Claude the dog is another great series for those moving from picture books to chapter. Funny stories. I also love the illustrations!

@andygbooks The Storey Treehouse series is really popular with the 6-10s in our shop. Great fun.
@malorieblackman The series of books about Betsey is lively and fun! She may be small but she's bright and loveable.

@hannahshawdraws Unipiggle is full of fun and imagination, perfect for moving from picture to chapter books.
I love Agent Asha by Sophie Deen, which is a new one which may also suit younger middle grade readers. Asha is a fearless spy and she can code with her eyes closed. A great book to inspire girls in STEM!

@MicheRobinson Do Not Disturb the Dragons has already been a big hit!
Pip Bird - The Naughtiest Unicorn 🦄 is about a naughty unicorn called Dave and his friend Mira. Lots of love for this little series!

@ZannaDavidson - Billy and the Monsters is a fun and brightly illustrated easy reader series featuring lots of monsters 👾
@annabellesami I really like Llama Out Loud, funny and positive about finding your voice! I think some younger middle grade readers will enjoy too.

@bishy14 Iguana Boy found some happy new homes over the weekend. What a great superhero. Also, pizza 🍕
Going to finish up with a couple of old ones now!

Joyce Lancaster Brisley's Milly-Molly-Mandy stories bring me joy and enchanted my six year old. Simple stories of simple times with a bag of aniseed balls.

Alf Prøysen - Mrs Pepperpot is a favourite of mine
And calling it a day there. I know there are so many amazing authors out there, but I hope this list is helpful! #choosebookshops
