Let this situation be known as "why I don't make MMD edits anymore, and why they'll never be public if I do".
There are *so* many people that use models and never credit creators. Whether it's a big company or game developer, or just an average joe.
If it's not yours, credit.

I'm also going to add that even I'm not perfect and I don't always credit the parts I use publicly on Twitter because character limits, but I always keep a note file on every model I make with the list of stuff I used in case someone asks.
On pictures I make sure to credit too.

However I think that when you're a big content creator like YanDev, you need to credit your assets somewhere publicly. Especially when you're notorious for not doing so already.
If he didn't render the picture, he could at the very least have said "xyz made this pic."
