Self-awareness: A mentor once shared that some art isn& #39;t meant to be sold but is used to learn & grow. It still holds great value because of that process in your journey. Don& #39;t toss it out as worthless because it can& #39;t be sold. This is a part of learning & studying a new skill.
Your art & goals matter at whatever stage you& #39;re in. Each step along the way has value & is worth your time & investment.

Once you decide to pursue art as a career, however, it is important to put on a business hat & critically evaluate your work without an emotional lens.
Looking at your portfolio with a critical eye that isn& #39;t self-defeating takes practice, clarity in your goals & confidence in what you can produce or work towards.

To help get here - Surround yourself with friends that lift you up, cheer you on & are motivated too!
As someone with an entrepreur-wired brain, I https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đź’Ż" title="Hundert Punkte Symbol" aria-label="Emoji: Hundert Punkte Symbol"> get the desire to sell your work as soon as you create it. It& #39;s taken clarity in what I want as a business to really gain momentum with my craft & a full-time income, & not trying to make a $ off of everything I made along the way.
I should add - I& #39;m speaking to my fellow independent artists out there but perhaps this applies elsewhere. I don& #39;t work in any studio or freelance industry. More small-business talk here.

Also... you got this!!
Adding to this thread: Rather than looking to places of business like Twitter for feedback on your art I highly recommend creating a Discord group or peer-mastermind where you can have a safe environment for this kind of learning & confidence-boosting.
