1. School reopens in full, with social distancing, masks, temperature checks, etc.
2. Five teachers/staff get COVID-19.
3. The rest of the teachers/staff revolt.
4. School no longer open, as there aren& #39;t enough teachers/staff to operate.

Figure it& #39;ll take about three weeks.
This is a likely prediction for what will happen, and I haven& #39;t seen any of the "schools must reopen" people explain how to avoid it.
It& #39;s not just a matter of having the will to reopen. You have to have the teachers and staff to *stay* open.

Maybe there are some places in the U.S. where community spread is low enough that it would work. But it doesn& #39;t seem like there are very many.
It& #39;s both. Of course parents are worried about their kids falling behind. Many (most?) students already have because of the spring shut-downs.

And also parents have to get back to working full-time, which is massively hard to do if you have to be a teacher all day long. https://twitter.com/RevolioJ/status/1282364121237815299">https://twitter.com/RevolioJ/...
