the world building in this book is so complicated the entire first half makes me want to cry
ren’s pov is always so funny she’s the most chaotic protagonist I’ve ever seen but she means the best I love her

one of my favorite parts is how people that have some sort of connection to each other have threads of magic in different colors that connect them and they’re able to feel each other’s emotions
I love the way politics are discussed the issues are actually complex and not basic
dare is literally the worst he’s always pushing ren so much and he’s so creepy I hate that ren has a cr*sh on him
ren thinking that she doesn’t actually mean anything to constantine when clearly she’s the only person he actually cares about
