In honor of the #MarchforInnocence, I would like to present a history of LGBT activism and its connection to pedophilia.
Meet Harry Hay. He was the founder of the Mattachine Society, which historians believe to be the first gay rights organization of the United States. He also went on to found the Radical Faeries, a homosexual spiritual movement, and the LA chapter of the Gay Liberation Front.
Hay was also an outspoken defender of the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), a pedophile activism organization. He spoke out repeatedly in favor of adult men having sexual relationships with children as young as 13.
One would think that such a figure would be thoroughly ostracized by the LGBT community the second he spoke out about his morally repugnant postions.
Yet in 2019, on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, Harry Hay was one of the few men to have the honor of being one of the "heroes" on the national LBGTQ Wall of Honor in the Stonewall National Monument.
Harvey Milk was a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and the first openly gay elected official in the history of California. He became well-known as a martyr for the LGBT movement following his assassination at the hands of fellow San Francisco politician Dan White.
In 2008 Harvey Milk was portrayed on the silver screen by Sean Penn in a biopic titled "Milk." Shortly after the release of this film, California passed a bill naming May 22 "Harvey Milk Day." Since then, everything from high schools to battleships have been named after Milk.
This is surprising considering Milk's documented illicit relationship with 16-year-old runaway Jack Galen McKinley. Given that the age of consent in California is and was 18 and that Milk was 34 years old, literally twice his McKinley, their relationship was highly inappropriate.
Mckinley would go on to commit suicide.
To get to a story slightly closer to the Emerald Isle, Ian Dunn was a prominent gay rights activist in Scotland. In 1969, he founded one of Britain's first gay rights organizations called "The Scottish Minorities Group." He also founded Britain's first gay newspaper Gay News.
Dunn landed in hot water in 1974 when it was revealed that he was also the founder of the Paedophile Information Exchange, an international "pro-pedophile group" which functioned as a channel through which to exchange child pornography.
Roger Peyrefitte was a popular French author and an open homosexual. He wrote frequently of homosexuality in his works and was considered a gay activist in his time. Figures such as Stephen Fry, a prominent homosexual, have praised his works.
Peyrefitte admitted in his memoirs, Propos Secrets, that he had numerous sexual relationships with underaged boys. He even got in legal trouble for sexually harassing male teenagers during his travels.
Allen Ginsburg was an American poet famous for the obscenity trial brought against his poem "Howl," which contained graphic descriptions of sex. He was well-known within the gay community across America for his poetry's frank discussion of homosexual sex acts.
He was also an open supporter of NAMBLA, stating, "Attacks on NAMBLA stink of politics, witchhunting for profit, humorlessness, vanity, anger and ignorance ... I'm a member of NAMBLA because I love boys too—everybody does, who has a little humanity".
Finally I will move onto that scourge upon the universities that is "queer theory". Michel Foucault is often called the "Godfather of Queer Theory," because of the influential role his philosophical texts had on the field.
He advocated for not only lowering but completely abolishing laws pertaining to the age of consent in France.
Gayle Rubin was another highly influential figure in queer theory. In 1984 she published the bombshell article "Thinking Sex." This has been called by many in the field of queer theory "Queer Theory's Founding Document."
What's interesting about that article is that if you read it, roughly 50% of the article is spent defending pedophiles, or "boy-lovers" as she calls them.
"Like communists and homosexuals of the 1950's, boy-lovers are so stigmatized that it is difficult to find defenders of their civil liberties, let alone for their erotic orientation." — Gayle Rubin
Academics get fired for racist Tweets, but Rubin is still employed by the University of Santa Cruz after saying this sick shit.
Pat Califia, another popular queer theory activist, is another supporter of pedophilia. She said, "Pedophiles should be more, and not less, invested in children's lives." — Pat Califia
Finally, Judith Butler, the most famous queer theorist alive today. She is the author of "Gender Trouble," an extremely influential text in queer theory. In her book "Undoing Gender," she stated that sexual relationships between parents and their children can be non-harmful.
That's all I've got for tonight. Thanks to @KeithWoodsYT for his taking part in the protest that inspired this thread. I may add more information later, detailing further connections between the LGBT movement and pedophilia, but I think I've made my point.
