One aspect of climate change that's not widely understood: the choice is global net-zero emissions or perpetually rising temps. We can mobilize & stay at 1.5° or delay & stay at 3-4°, but if we want to stabilize at *any* temp, gotta get to net-zero. Not if, just when.
Given that we know, to a certainty, that we must stabilize temps to give the species a future at all -- that reaching net-zero is a when, not an if -- what is the conceivable argument for delay? We gotta do it. The sooner we do it, the less we'll suffer. So ... wtf?
