AOC has received over $10M in contributions and spent $6M+ this cycle. This is a much bigger ballgame than last time.

So where is that money going this time? Well, things get weird pretty quickly.

#1 $2.5M - VEYOND!
#2 $876k - Middle Seat Consulting
#3 $865k - Payroll

Her top recipient is something called "VEYOND!", which has received ~$2.5M from AOC so far this cycle.

These are some large payments.

The memo simply describes the largest one as "card payment"...

But in trying to find out what Veyond actually *is*, I was surprised to find that they had no web presence at all

The top results are about a location called Veyond Cave in Elder Scrolls.

There are a few other companies called Veyond, but not AOC's.

The address listed on the FEC filings is 153 Townsend St Floor 6, San Francisco. There is nothing indicating that Veyond rents that space.

But a company called BREX popped up in the results, even though the Brex website lists their SF office in another location.

A little searching shows that the founder of Brex originally called his company Veyond (or Beyond?) but changed the name early on. It seems like an odd choice to obscure the name of your largest recipient behind a defunct name and an address that doesn't match up.

I thought she wanted to *increase* transparency of the money in politics?

Well let's keep looking, maybe I'm just missing something.

Ok, so what exactly does Brex DO?

It seems to be a tech startup (by Brazilian teens) that provides credit for...other startups? They offer 10x the credit line of other banks, no deposit required

This is so many red flags in general, but how does AOC's campaign fit in here?

So wait. Brex is a creditor? Does this mean AOC paid off $2.5M of unitemized Brex CC charges with campaign funds??

Is that...allowed? I'm not an expert but the FEC website is.

According to the FEC, any CC payments >$200 need to be itemized.

$195,686 > $200...by a lot. Wtf?

Can someone please explain whatever I must be fundamentally misunderstanding here?

This is all a lot more bizarre than I anticipated.
