Day 1 of #CovidCountryVroomVroom. Made it to the edge of California. Even out in the middle of nowhere, masks abundant at the Chipotle and the Circle K and the budget motel. Listened to some cute AM country radio out of Arizona as the sun went down over the scrubby hills.

Tomorrow’s plan is to make it to Las Cruces, god willing I do not lay my head down anywhere in Arizona lol

This was just a half day but seeing something other than my house and neighborhood and 12 mile radius of LA is downright psychedelic right now

Oh my god I forgot I LOST AN HOUR anyway I made it to New Mexico. It started raining as soon as I crossed the state line, very dramatic! And it looked like this

It was so hot inside my car, my AC was no match for 112 degree Arizona, i pulled over at one point in a kind of heat induced fugue state to find a cactus to take a pic of. Didn’t get any Saguaros but did find a rare Acab

I’m now watching Love It Or List at the motel looking at google maps and I have no idea where I’m going to stop tomorrow
