female rulers throughout history have nearly always proven to be more progressive and sociopolitically intellectual than their male counterparts.
Wu Zetian was the first female empress of China. in the late 600s, she was one of the most influential people in the world, if not the most. she foresaw a human rights movement that would happen 1250 years later.
during her reign, she allowed civilian women to become important members of the government, she legalized divorce, she normalized women dressing and behaving as they should – to their truest desire. women were allowed substantial social and political freedom.
not only that, but she ensured the empire would flourish economically, she was diplomatic, she was sharp and ruthless, she cared for the welfare of her people.
up until the 2010s, she was largely understood to have been an evil tyrant. her past was tarnished by her successor – a male. the fragile male egos of the time could not handle such a strong woman proving to society that women are better, more diligent leaders.
like Wu Zetian, many other female leaders have risen & fallen due to a lack of majority (male) support. men are intimidated by our power & they should be. female power is raw. it’s been pent up for centuries. to witness the release of such untapped energy is scary and beautiful.
