Update on Vancouver's "anti-lockdown" protests, which have been continuing on Sundays every week.

Are we getting the "summer of freedom" we were promised?
The group, which formerly went by "No More Lockdowns" and then "Human Rights Movement" has renamed itself yet again. They keep making new Facebook groups but each one gets less popular than the last, and their old ones' content have nothing to do with their protests.
Most of the people who did videos for them, which was one of their main methods of self-promotion, have left or lost interest. Brian Ruhe is basically the only person making videos for them, and his YouTube account has been banned. Mak Parhar sometimes shows up and livestreams.
Susan Standfield "stepped away" but still shows up to sell printed t-shirts. Now she's trying to do some anti-vax mom conference but can't find a venue as they're all enforcing mask-wearing, social distancing and hand sanitizing. She's fully emerged as a Sovereign Citizen.
Marco Pietro had a falling out with them after they planned another rally at the same time as his. Supposedly there's a video where he accused them of calling the cops on him (they deny this, I havn't seen it). He was at the Victoria rally on Canada Day organized by other groups.
The media has also lost interest in them, as their novelty wore off and (much larger) protests during a pandemic are no longer a rarity.

They get maybe a few dozen now. At their peak they claimed 300 protestors.
Their fantasies of a class action lawsuit against the provincial government have yet to go anywhere. No doubt they'll be excited about the lawsuit filed in Toronto on behalf of Vaccine Choice Canada yesterday, as they've mentioned trying to contact the quack lawyer before.
Another anti-lockdown group which puts in more effort is moving in on their turf. The Surrey-based "A Celebration of Freedoms and Rights" wants to do an anti-mask rally in Vancouver on July 19th, and is getting anti-lockdown groups in other cities across Canada to do so as well.
An anti-government group called "Unify the People" has been pretty active in the anti-lockdown movement in BC. It promotes pseudo-legal theories that Canada does not have a legitimate constitution and only provincial authority is legitimate. (some may recogniz it f
Signs for Unify the People were displayed so prominently at the Canada Day rally in Victoria that one local media report mistakenly thought the whole rally was done by them. They've also talked about winning over the people in the Surrey and Vancouver anti-lockdown scenes.
While the founder of Unify the People is unmistakably against the Federal government as a whole, some of the people being won over don't seem to grasp the implications of this, and still talk about "voting out" Trudeau or supporting Federal politicians such as Derek Sloan.
A video of a BC Unify the People meeting from last week has them talking about SIN card names being capitalized and such. I was on the fence about labeling them Sovereign Citizens though they seem to fit.

An anti-lockdown figure supporting them wants a "tax revolt."
Thus we see a combination of anti-government Sovereign Citizen-type beliefs, medical ignorance & anti-Semitic conspiracy theorists (who are still active in the organizing committee of Vancouver's anti-lockdown group)
Twitter was crashing on me so I forgot to fix this, Meant to say it's been promoted by Yellow Vests Calgary and people like Pat King, so it's been pushed for in the "patriot" movement along those positions against the "de facto" government for some reason. https://twitter.com/nolifeneet/status/1281632888547614720
To the conspiracy theorists who were linked to this old thread, know that @TrudeauMustGo19 made a ton of baseless claims he could not defend and when challenged and he ran away and blocked me pretending I was in on a conspiracy too. He's a complete clown. https://twitter.com/nolifeneet/status/1298056159966961665
