Dems own NYS government, both houses & Governor, could pass anything. Could've enacted RCV/STAR voting, then nobody could "spoil" an election. They chose not to, better to weaponize the spoiler accusation to SUPPRESS DISSENT. Hid #antidemocratic changes in a #COVID19 relief bill.

Unless we win the second suit challenging the changes, it will be 6X harder to keep ballot access than before, arguably toughest in USA.
They could let people express 2nd, 3rd preferences like in #Maine, let gov't more accurately reflect the will of the People.

In their first COVID-19 emergency law, they tripled the minimum # of votes needed for Governor to keep ballot access for a party, & required as many for President so every 2 years we need 150k votes for the top spot, before it was 50k every 4 years.

They did this because @WorkingFamilies dared to endorse Cuomo's progressive primary challenger in 2018 instead of cross endorsing whoever the Dems put up like usual, so they try to reinforce the artificial duopoly & maintain their own power.
