thomas astruc is the creator of miraculous ladybug. his supporters are blind to his racist and misogynistic behavior, and dismiss this due to their love of the show. in this thread i'll be showing receipts of his actions, and why you should STOP supporting him.

i actually called thomas out for this, and his response to why he made the character was, "because she's stupid." and argued that children should automatically understand that what chloe said was wrong.
you can argue the fact that chloe is a typical mean teenage girl, which is true, but my problem is that chloe received absolutely no backclash from her statements. if the show were to actually deal with the concept of racism, there would have been a moral to the story, +
or an instance where chloe was punished or lectured. not even the protagonist, marinette, scolded chloe on why what she said was wrong. therefore how are young and impressionable children supposed to know this is discriminatory?

the ONE TIME he replied to a tweet posting the comic, he dismissed himself yet again by accusing the person of, 'taking the comic panel out of context.'

many fans argue that marinette's character as been completely torn apart and ruined by her borderline creepy behavior throughout s3. marinette has tried to break into adrien's house 3 times, one instance where she was stalking him to make sure Lila didn't get too close w him?

astruc addresses her as āthe villainā of the story. if anything, hawkmoth is the villain. i believe chloe is simply a teenage girl being neglected and emotionally abused by her mother, therefore projecting her behaviour on to people in her life.
