I can relate to this thread in some respects.

Growing up I was told I was extremely smart. I also have ADHD. So at around are 7 or 8 my symptoms began to interfere with my school work. https://twitter.com/NoTotally/status/1280771448177483776
I was still smart but also lazy. It was also around this time my father died.

While people made room for my grieving. No one has really truly understood that my brain works different.

That traditional schooling doesn't work for me.
That I am simultaneously acknowledged as having a learning disability but also being stigmatized because I am "smart" with out being neurotypical.

This thread has given me a lot to think about. Education/intelligence gas been on my mind a lot.
