GOOD NEWS FOR COTTON FARMERS!! In the wake of difficulties which cotton farmers have been facing to get paid, and in view of measures recently taken by Govt to refocus telecoms industry away from pseudo-banking activities, the RBZ has now agreed with three banks to open accounts

...for all cotton farmers so their earnings come through those accounts. The accounts will be linked to mobile telecoms services for daily transactions. The designated banks have rural reach and effort will be deployed to reach farmers to forestall costs of opening accounts.

The banking opppurtunities will be availed under a NO-FRILLS BASIS, with minimum requirements for KYC for greater access.
