To be fair, most people I’ve met had NO idea about the negative connotations behind the name. I know I didn’t up until maybe a decade ago... it’s just another example of privilege, of course. We didn’t need to know because it never impacted us or our family
But a lot of white people i know are now realizing how much racism permeated this country’s foundation and it’s fuckin wild for them. One good feeling I’ve got is that we’re all kind of in agreement we gotta rip out those roots out STAT. Enough fuckin around.
I guess that’s the point of this thread, though: there’s a lot of bullshit flying around. Stay focused on what’s important and don’t get lost in the sauce. Eyes on the prize. Alladat rhyming shit.

Let me be clear on one thing- when I say “we’re all in agreement”, I mean the majority of this country.
