Reluctantly set up a Wintendo BootCamp partition because Big Sur is a headache for the few Steam games I play (XCOM, Civ VI). Win 10 is good right? It can run games? Oooooooof. No.
Positives first: Windows 10 is a quick and easy install. A little bit condescending, but was up and running in less time than I expected. Probably between 30-45 minutes.
Cool cool. I have Steam setup and downloading XCOM Chimera, a mobile style offshoot of the XCOM games I've been wanting to try out because I'm an XCOM nut and somehow Windows is their only platform for this mobile game so far. Slow rollout I suppose.
All of this is relatively painless. From install of the OS, to buying and playing the game. Sure we are measuring this in hours rather than the seconds we are used to in our mobile iOS fueled future, but I'm playing the game so it's all good.
The game looks better than XCOM 2, on the same 2015 hardware so that's great. A few graphical glitches but cool. I'm playing new XCOM. Windows is outta my way....until it isn't.
So it didn't realise WiFi was a thing at first, but that's cool. It's a Mac, so I'm sure WiFi is not a thing until you install whatever special BootCamp sauce Apple has. At least interruptions is a thing of the past when you're playing a game, no? No. No it isn't.
Within an hour Windows has blasted me out of the only thing I needed it to do: Just let me play my fucking game in peace, without interruptions. Without crashing.

Did it interrupt? Yes.

Did it crash? Yes.

Fine, try again...
Literally all I need you to do for me Windows, is to launch a game, and let me play without interrup… OH FUCK HERE WE GO AGAIN.

The entire fucking computer shut down mid mission without warning. Forcing me to turn it on with the hardware button.

It's 2020 Microsoft. WTF?
This is the "PC Master Race". This is the best platform to play any game that's not tied to a controller.

Ugh.
