I see folks arguing that K*nye is right re: Planned Parenthood.
Y’all do know that the anti-abortion movement was created by evangelicals who were losing on segregation so they needed a new fight?
The crusade against abortion wasn’t about morals.

Thank God my Christian faith isn’t blindly following evangelical political motives rooted in white supremacy.
I’d be doing everything to work AGAINST my Black body if that was the case.
But, y’all got it

I spent six years at @PPact, and most of it was studying it’s founding and having to spread so much truth among the falsehoods. Here’s a thread from sis @RBraceySherman that speaks a lot of that truth. https://twitter.com/rbraceysherman/status/1280905429862637568
And here’s an article @AngryBlackLady wrote for @Rewire_News in 2015 dispelling the myths about the falsehoods of Sanger being used to shame Black women from accessing care. https://rewire.news/article/2015/08/20/false-narratives-margaret-sanger-used-shame-black-women/
Lastly, @Mvmnt4BlkLives has included advocating for abortion access and reproductive freedom within their policy platform, under the “End The War on Black Women.”
Reproductive freedom, including access to abortion, is part of our liberation.

Knowledge is power y’all.
Wouldn’t it just be easier stand with Black women and trust us with decisions about OUR bodies instead of spectators??
