Ok, so after getting a bit more sleep I wanted to comment on the farmer's protest in London yesterday as this video has received heated replies.

What follows is a loose thread. https://twitter.com/GrantWhiteTZ/status/1280919159241617408
First off- yes, I agree this is happening too late and wasn't done in the best way. I said many times when we did the big Remain marches it would have been impactful to have the tractors involved then. Now is far too late and only roughly 20 is a poor showing.
I also don't see the point of them going through London and doing a few laps of Parliament Square. Yesterday was PMQs, meaning to my knowledge various MPs were in attendance. Surely blockading the exits to Parliament and forcing a dialogue would be a bold but needed step?
And that remains the problem. This is still too light and fluffy, still too "But will know we did it!"

I kept the video to the Twitter cut off length but I took others. Seeing a van of people dressed up as vegetables made my heart sink. It's more game playing
And I'm aware many are pointing out the high numbers of farmers who voted Leave.

All I can really say to that is- as someone stuck here and stuck between existing standards and American imports, I know which I'd pick. All of us have got to eat.
So, yeah. I was there to help out in what little way I could but it's sadly clear protest is either too late or still the game playing, which for the millionth time won't work. The nature of this was largely about appealing to the public (see attached) but stll got long way to go
And a long way to go isn't very good when you have a short time to get there, with half a decade wasted on fluff non protest. We should be aware and active by now.
