I started volunteering 1 day a week alongside university and part time work at a restaurant. After a couple months on reception I started volunteering with the Immigration team and Crime team. In the end I was volunteering 3 days a week, studying & working evenings & weekends...

During my volunteering work I gained great exposure into the workings of a Law Centre and social welfare law. The opportunity to shadow the solicitors in the office and at court was fantastic and confirmed that a career in a Law Centre was right for me.

I completed my Law Degree at @LSBU in June 2019 and a month later I successfully applied for my current paralegal role at NKLC. It is safe to say, I was over the moon and couldn’t wait to take on my own cases and be a part of such a great team working for justice.
