The lifting of lockdowns in (some) public housing towers is good news.

We still need to know why the force-first response saw so many residents go without basics & why food and essentials were blocked from delivery, especially if there are more outbreaks in other towers.

And to those still stuck in Alfred Street, your community will support you.

This crisis has shown that when you neglect public housing, fail to tackle overcrowding & fail to invest in the most fundamental of things - giving everyone a roof over their head - people are unnecessarily put at risk.

Time now to invest in public housing.
