Some 700 words in response to @PeterBeinart's 7000 words of Zionist propaganda:
1. He endlessly makes the sinister conflation between Jewish religion and criminal supremacist Zionism.
2. Israel is NOT a "Jewish state" - it is a Zionist state - a criminal race-state built from the
2/ grounds up to practice apartheid, ethnic cleansing and ethnic supremacy - all for the sake of the Zionist project in Palestine.
3. "A Land for All" OPPOSES the right of return. They promote the deeply racist notion of a "demographic balance", appealing to the likes of Beinart
3/ by "allowing" the same number of refugees returning to Palestine48 as the number of Zionist settlers in Palestine67.
4/ 4. Taking inspiration from opportunistic fig leafs like Odeh who support Gantz, the butcher of Kfar-Achim, and who has this to say about Israel's apartheid nature kinda says it all... https://twitter.com/ronnie_barkan/status/893186134188187649
5/ 5. "Israel" and "Palestine" are THE EXACT SAME SPOT OF LAND. ONE IS LITERALLY BUILT ON TOP OF THE OTHER AND AT THE EXPENSE OF ITS PEOPLE. Any other notion of "Israel and Palestine" is sheer propaganda. https://twitter.com/ronnie_barkan/status/1098808906543960067
6/ 6. He wants to build "a new Jewish identity" where again he means a new ZIONIST identity. Being a Zionist, Beinart simply can't fathom the idea that Judaism has precisely nothing to do with Zionism, that it rejects the very Zionist invention of a "Jewish nationality".
7/ (Indeed, Zionists *claim* to represent Judaism. It is completely analogous to the KKK claiming for Christianity and ISIS claiming for Islam).
8/ 7. The binational discourse being promoted assumes as a prerequisite Zionism as a legitimate form of nationalism. Hence, this "binationalism" in Palestine is not analogous to actual binational states around the world. Ever heard of a KKK nationality? I guess not.
9/ This binational discourse is simply a way to enshrine the supremacy that's in the minds of people as well as a means of legitimizing the deeply racist demographic discourse. The very national thinking of ALL Zionists is that of exclusivity. Nationalism=Supremacy in their mind!
10/ Therefore, the only binational option for them revolves around that racist demographic discourse, which is exactly what "A Land for All" offers. Hurray.
The alternative to all of these is the simple demand for equality!
11/ 8. As a side note, there are AT LEAST THREE, NOT TWO, main nationalities here. I would support a discourse of multiculturalism and multinationalism, but at the very least one should stick to trinationalism: Zionists, Palestinians, and Jews (who are staunch antiZionist and who
12/ want nothing to do with Zionists, who refuse to participate in or accept the rule of the Zionist state which seeks to destroy them, and therefore currently opt for seclusion for their own survival).
13/ 9. When we demand full equality, multiculturalism and the rights of minorities - we are, by definition, abolishing Zionism but we also create a space that finally accepts and promotes the collective and individual rights of ALL, including the sub-groups within ethnic-Jews,
14/ religious Jews and Palestinians. What about the collective rights of Zionists? As a collective they simply have the right to get off their high horse and accept full equality (sounds harsh? ask yourself what collective rights should be afforded to KKK supporters).
15/ What other collective rights can they have?! So, when @PeterBeinart promotes Zionist collective rights, not Jewish rights, this should be rejected in its totality.
