On July 9, a few years ago, a speech about fighting oppression got out of control. The protest organizer wanted it to be nonviolent but protesters started destroying property and attacking law enforcement officers.

A (relatively short) thread:

The march was supposed to be against injustice and inequality. But unlike previous protests, this protest crowd was mixed with white people, black people and even a few indigenous people.

They had a whole list of complaints.

First of all, they complained that the government was anti-immigration.

They wanted criminal justice reform.

They were tired of being overpoliced.

Their voting rights were being suppressed.

They wanted reparations.

The shooting of an unarmed black man had started a riot

So when the protesters heard the speech, what did they do?

They went downtown, found some rope and toppled a statue that represented the symbol of their oppression.

Who were these people?

They were led by a man named Isaac Sears.

Isaac Sears was a thug. He was always starting shit. He hated the police with all his heart and was always fucking with them. Sears was essentially a gang leader.

While pretending to be an activist, Sears controlled chapters of his gang all up and downs the East Coast.

So, the mob of "protesters" who decided to topple that statue was mostly composed of Sears' gang members. They always did shit like that.

But this time, they were celebrating because the world had finally heard their message against injustice and inequality.

Now Sears didn't organize the rally that started all of this. His gang just infiltrated the mob and started the rioting.

First they beheaded the statue.

Then they decided to melt down the statue, make bullets & kill their oppressors. They actually did it, too!

They made 42,088 bullets out of the statue.

If you still think toppling statues is unpatriotic and against American values, you should know 1 more thing:

Sears' gang was the Sons of Liberty, the same thugs who started the Boston Tea Party, many of whom we now call our "founding fathers"

To be fair, they didn't topple the statue by themselves. The guys who actually brought the rope were colonial soldiers. But u gotta understand...

It wasn't their fault. This whole statue debacle started because someone behind the scenes actually wanted to hype them up and rile up the crowd.

One man orchestrated this protest. He didn't tell them to tear down the statue, but it was his fault for instigating that anger

And what did he get out of it?

Well, he got those bullets.

And that's why the very first Americans toppled a statue of King George III on July 9, 1776 after George Washington organizedthe 1st public reading of a famous poem

I even know some of it by heart:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness..."

...whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive...it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, & to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles ... as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Anyway... just thought I should remind you that saying "fuck statues" is actually an American tradition. Also...
