I will say, I did not know about this part of the movie, and I feel like I"m picking up on some...not terrific undercurrents. I think I may just be overthinking things (or thinking things in the wrong direction) though.

I don't know that EoE really hit me in the heart the same way the main series did, but it's definitely a very ambitious film. I don't call many things "challenging" but this is really quite another thing altogether.

It strikes me as....very....I don't know how to put it. If you've ever met someone whose strength of character comes from the fact that they've just been through

this movie strikes me as a filmic distillation of that kind of thing.

And it ends on kind of a bitter note, because, well, that's how these things go, sometimes.

what an absolutely bizarre and wonderful series. That this is as popular as it is is insane to me.
