Tonight, I sent my first YouTube super chat to @christoaivalis during his livestream, and he responded to my comment. BTW, my comment was similar to what @AbdulElSayed put out on here today regarding the task force on healthcare or public health insurance on the #Biden team.

Here’s part two of his response. I do want to make this clear, I despise the situation that we’re in, but if we’re going to be one step closer to finally getting #MedicareForAll, #GreenNewDeal, #HousingJustice, etc. passed, then #Trump can’t be elected to a second term.

Even though I don’t want #Biden to be #POTUS, I care more about the progressive policies & I want them to be in the best position possible when we have a progressive majority in all levels of government in the future!

We can elect #Biden & hold him accountable to the highest degree, and make him bend to our will. I’m seeing signs that he’ll cave to the pressure of the protests the same way as #LBJ. Ladies & gentlemen, this is 2020, not the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, etc. anymore!

Again, this thread is NOT in support #Biden. I don’t want him elected because I like him (I hate #Biden) or just to get to rid of Trump, I want him elected so that the progressive policies are in the best position possible for a progressive majority in the future.

Additionally, #Biden is more vulnerable than #Trump. Yes, #Biden did say “nothing would fundamentally change”, but @BernieSanders has been doing everything in his power to change all of that.

And if #Biden’s elected, we have the power to make him eat those words if we put enough pressure on him. Again, we’ll most certainly still be in the middle of the #COVID19 pandemic once #Biden takes office, and I guarantee you that the protests are NOT going away.

So, the bottom line is, even if #Biden is elected, please stay in the streets, and hold him & our institutions accountable. And if #Biden f***s up, then we’ll have a compelling case for many new progressive candidates for future primary elections against the establishment Dems.

We have a long fight ahead of us, but if you’re on the left, and want progressive policies passed sooner in the future rather than decades, then we have to be savvy in terms of strategy. That means defeating #Trump in 2020, and holding #Biden accountable in 2021 & 3 years after.

I have absolutely no love for #Biden, but four more years of #Trump would be incredibly catastrophic not only for the left, but for so many marginalized communities throughout our country & society. Even globally, such as #Palestine!

Yes, I know #Biden is bad, but we lefties can hold him accountable WAY better than #Trump because #Trump (more often than not) doesn’t care at all who he hurts or the blood he may have in his hands.

I understand that we’re in a difficult situation, and we have two reprehensible losers as the top two candidates running for POTUS, but this is bigger than one political candidate.

This is about what’s the best situation & position for progressive policies & our movement, and I think the choice is clear if you live in a battleground swing state. Solid blue & red states aren’t going to decide this election, the swing states will.

If you live in a swing state, unfortunately, you don’t have the luxury to vote your conscience, especially with #Trump’s presidency getting worser than worse.

If you live in a swing state, don’t vote for #Biden because he’ll make a better POTUS because #Trump has been awful. Vote for #Biden to put us in the best position possible to hold him accountable, and expose him & other corporate Democrats for future primary elections.

Also, put the progressive policies in the best position possible to get passed at least under a decade from now. Moreover, put future progressive challengers in the best position to defeat corporate Dems during the primaries in future election cycles.

Plus, please stay in the streets & continue protesting, and be constantly involved in your local elections, as well. @BernieSanders wants all of us to step up and transform this country because this movement was NEVER about him, it’s about all of us. #NotMeUs

Let’s make @BernieSanders proud for the sake of the movement. Fight, keep pushing, and NEVER give up! Take that anger & turn it into action!

In conclusion, this thread was NEVER in support of #Biden, I don’t support #Biden, but this thread was about what’s best for our movement & putting progressive policies in the best position possible to finally getting passed in under a decade or sooner, hopefully.
