I’ve had trust issues with so many in the fandom since December, a result of people’s lack of basic decency and respect throughout discourse (subtweeting, unnecessary QTs, dogpiling in groups, etc.). It’s why I’m increasingly hesitant to collaborate with new creators.
There’s been some folks who I had on my show last year, and, since December, they’ve shown nothing but an utter disregard of differing opinions and have resorted to gatekeeping (whether they realize it or not). It’s upsetting to think I allowed those people in my fandom space.
Anyways, this is to say that being a part of the Star Wars community does not mean I want to collaborate with you by default. Your actions carry weight, and I (along with many others) take notice.
P.S. Probably gonna delete this thread, but I’m tired of the inauthenticity.
