In response to criticism of MEA's capabilities & delivery by others & me, "jack of all trades.." @GBambawale Sir has responded saying our MEA has excelled over the 7 decades " by punching way above our weight.."

Trouble is that you imply India is some teeny-weeny nation "punching above it's weight" justifying it by the so-called huge votes India got in SC for 'Rotating' membership.

Herein lies the gap - We ,the nation are certain that we should have been in UNSC as Veto power member../2

We are $10.6tn GDP (PPP) economy, 3rd largest in world, with one of the largest and most well trained professional army (save the US - equipment wise), at par with best, large trained manpower, landmass,self sufficient in food, lifting over 600 million from poverty in 2 decades/3

We haven't been able to forge one deep relationship in 7 decades post collapse of USSR (we were almost client state) base don principles of equality and shown Zero courage by taking a stand, lost land continuously, appease other bullies..heck can't manage Nepal/Myanmar/lanka../4

want to learn how to punch above weight? look next door to that bankrupt,Jihadi and revisionist state that squats on our land, send jihadis every day killing our young boys in the meat grinder. Have you even declared it a terrorsit state unilaterally?../5

How much of FDI do we get? What trade agreements have we got into? Where are the EU/US concessions? At every negotiating table @GBambawale @MEAIndia Sir, we just acquiesce. As for foreign policy experience,well it means nothing. only results do & they have been pathetic mostly./6

The day I get into parliament, first thing on agenda is throwing out life servers from MEA and get people with real world experience of running multinational trade on board. Come to our boardroom/Industry meeting sir, both of us can learn art of negotiation.../7

@MEAIndia has been, as Sardar Patel alluded, " almost speaking on behalf of china..". They mostly see politicians as someone who give political legitimacy to their ideas (which barely hv changed in 70 yrs) & nothing more.
They have a China , pak, US, Russian lobbies. India?
