it& #39;s always "poor people food" that offends people most. https://twitter.com/Architecturpic/status/1280467722132795392">https://twitter.com/Architect...
lol that account is all like "look at how depressing capitalist architecture is" & then they post like a million pictures of some rich European& #39;s house.
Capitalism is only bad when poor people do it.
woke, liberal anti-capitalism be like: "this McDonald& #39;s off of a Philadelphia highway is disgusting, anyway let& #39;s all gawk enviously at this white South African& #39;s palatial vineyard. it& #39;s eco friendly!"
This wealthy person& #39;s house?

This is also capitalist architecture. https://twitter.com/Architecturpic/status/1280434284600279040?s=19">https://twitter.com/Architect...
this bathroom, decked out in marble mined by 12 year olds in the global south?

that& #39;s capitalist architecture. https://twitter.com/Architecturpic/status/1280210875668819968?s=19">https://twitter.com/Architect...
this multi-million dollar mansion, no doubt occupied by someone with generational wealth?

capitalist architecture. https://twitter.com/Architecturpic/status/1279610804560527361?s=19">https://twitter.com/Architect...
ppl seem to misunderstand.

I& #39;m not advocating for the fast food hell of the OP.

I& #39;m pointing how weird it is to point at that photo as "capitalist architecture" because it doesn& #39;t adhere to class based concepts of aesthetics.
eh, it& #39;s pointless to explain myself.
to the people objected to my saying it& #39;s "poor people food"

There are quotes around that phrase for a reason.
this is what is on offer to the poor.

a $0.99 factory farmed burger IS what poor people eat in this country.

idk, maybe you have access to a good food co-op, or are able to have your own garden.

that isn& #39;t extended to everyone.
a lot of cosmopolitan white leftists seem to forget this.
In Portland, fast food is frankly how a lot of unhoused people are able to eat.

it& #39;s not ideal, but it& #39;s not like they can ride their fixies to New Seasons.
so, yes, in a very real, materialistic sense...

a 99¢ burger IS poor people food.
