Twitter is full of racists/fools denying Jews' connection to Israel, perhaps because the return of Jews to Israel is so far-fetched, it's hard to grasp.

The astonishing nature of the Jewish return has a modern parallel, the exile of the Tibetans by the Chinese.
THREAD
Tibet was a small, ancient nation sitting at the confluence of two much larger rival cultures, with religious national leadership and temple worship at the focal point of its culture. It was conquered by an expansive empire, in this case Communist China, in 1959.
China exiled Tibetan leaders, destroyed their temples, renamed their country, and repopulated it with foreigners. The world has accepted this situation as normal, even as Tibetans in exile pray for their homeland and Tibetans who remain are brutally repressed.
Sound familiar?
Let’s make the ancient Jewish-modern Tibetan parallels clear:

Small nation surrounded by large empires? Check.

Religious national leadership and temple worship at the focal point of its culture? Check.

Conquered by a colonizing empire?
Tibet by China. Judea by Rome. Check.
Tibetan/Jewish leaders killed or exiled? Check.

Tibetan/Jewish temples, priesthood and state destroyed? Check.

Tibetan/Jewish people suffer massive death, suffering, displacement? Check.
Remaining Tibetans/Jews brutally repressed by colonizers? Check.

Exiled Tibetans/Jews pray for return to their homeland, even with no return in sight? Check.

Rest of world does nothing to help, bows to power of the colonizing empire? Check.
Tibetan/Jewish homelands occupied, repopulated
and renamed by conquerors?

Romans change name from Judea to Palestina.
Chinese change name from Tibet to Xizang Province.

Check.
If the Tibetan experience were to mirror the Jewish experience, Tibetans would spend the next 2,000 years in forced exile. Entire civilizations would rise and fall, as different empires and cultures take turns ruling and occupying their homeland.
Now it gets crazy.

If the Tibetan experience mirrors the Jewish experience, somehow Tibetans will maintain their identity and traditions, write and speak their same language, practice their same religion, and reclaim their homeland and independence – in the year 3959!
3959.
It’s the stuff of science fiction. Such things do not happen.
And yet they did.
And they are happening today, in our time, to the Jewish People in the State of Israel.
Would anyone deny the Tibetans' connection to Tibet? Does indigeneity expire over time?
No and No.
So how can anyone deny the indigenous Jewish connection to the Land of Israel?
All displaced, colonized, indigenous people should rejoice and find inspiration in the Jewish experience and the astonishing, miraculous, return of the Jewish People to sovereignty in our homeland, Israel. If Jews did it, so can they.

Hopefully it won't take until 3959.
