So I was looking for my AirPods today and could not find them. Usually keep them near my laptop. Not there.

I turned on the “Find my IPhone” app and they showed up in Lakeland, 45 minutes away.

Now I was in Lakeland on Sunday for my daughter’s tennis tournament and did use my AirPods to make a work call during her match. The app said they were at the tennis courts. But what?

The office was closed already so no one to call. Guess that means I’m driving to Lakeland.

So we get there and it’s clear the grass I was standing on last time I was there is recently mowed. Eeek.

We look all around. Nothing. My daughter thinks someone found them and they’re in the office.

We walk that way and some guys are giving lessons. They say they’ll open the office for us. Yay!

But this is a sad story. And despite showing up on the app as being there, they are not. So I leave my name and number.

Then we scour the big grassy area one more time. We split apart and each take a section. Nothing.

So I drove home to Tampa and tried to comfort myself with @PDQFreshFood takeout. I love PDQ and haven’t had it for awhile.

But this sad story gets sadder. Did you know PDQ no longer serves regular fries? At all? The menu has changed. Only waffle fries. I hate waffle fries.
